Last I looked, South Koreans were dominating the LPGA. As of right now, a South Korean is leading the PGA Honda Classic.

I believe with the women they are allowed or are able to turn pro at much younger ages than the USA. Typically the women players from the USA compete at the collegiate level and then go pro. The Koreans have been pro since the age of 13-15 and dominate the game at younger ages.

As for the men there are a few really good players like Im. They don’t dominate nearly as much the LPGA.

Se-Ri Pak effect.
I think she almost had a bigger impact on getting South Korea ladies professional golf on the map as Tiger had on the mens.

Their government invests heavily in developing youth athletes that show potential. Golf has been a major focus for 30 years.
