I've never been. But I'm thinking about doing the "Best of the Zurich Classic Pass" for Saturday. Anyone have an experience with this? It's $250 but includes all your food and drink.

If I didn’t already have 4 tickets from the past 2 holiday packages I would absolutely get the best of Zurich classic ticket. Unlimited alcohol is worth that alone.

Its $35 a person but this year they're offering $250 for all grandstands which is a pretty good deal.

I had the tent on the 18th hole in 2019 and basically it was 10 meal passes and unlimited booze.
I think it's worth it this year

I’m curious if they are going to be limiting the concessions for the general admission crowd and have it reserved only for the “best of Zurich” ticket.

if this is the big tent along 18, well worth it. i've been give passes to that the last 2 years it was played. 10 food samplings from local restaurants.....and usually most of them don't care of you go back.....unlimited drinks....access to a\c and a little bit better bathrooms. usually start off following a player for a few holes. go to the tent. fuel up..........go walk portions of the back 9, and then come back for the remainder of the evening.

looking forward to it again this year.

Basically the same concessions all day once it starts. They may have fewer tents along the course this year.

The only different food you'll find is in the Best of Zurich package (Unlimited drinks, not food). Otherwise, the Value package is a good deal as well.

So with only 10k its probably going to be pretty sweet I would think. I have never been to a golf tournament but this is my bday weekend so thinking about making the trip. Since its teams does it make it better since instead of only seeing 2 guys a group on the weekend you get 4? Thinking about just getting in the gate and following various groups.

I say this shite every year and never do it but I can always hope.

Personally, I don’t like the alternate shot round. That’s less shots I get to see the pros hit. I like to go on “best ball” days because all of the golfers are hitting shots. Also, they take more chances going at the hole.

I can't remember, did they make the 2nd and 4th round alternate shot? I know that wasn't the case the first year or so of the team play. It was a poor choice not to have it because it was damn near impossible for teams chasing to make a Sunday move. Alternate shot at least has the potential for team to make bogeys.

Two PGA pro's are almost never going to take a best-ball bogey at TPC Lousiana, one of the easiest courses they play all year if not the easiest.

Last year it was:
Thursday, Saturday - best ball
Friday, Sunday - alternate shot

The want alternate shot on Sunday because it brings bogies into the equation and makes for more excitement.

If someone has a big lead in the best ball round, it is hard to catch them.

It also makes for quicker rounds with only two balls in play per group.
