Are you a member at Canton?

I was a member until they restructured a few years ago. Lake Caroline re-opened and they gave the 3 membership deal so I joined the Watkins group. Canton is my favorite course, though.

The 4-Ball will be worth it if you can get in

Gotcha, yeah I debated joining Caroline and also Deerfield. We just moved here, but my BIL has lived out at Caroline and been a member there since Randy reopened it. The long rounds deterred me from Caroline, and everytime I've tried to play Deerfield since moving here they've had a tournament going on. Canton was also running a deal of $130/month so I couldn't turn it down. I think it's a tougher course than the other two so I'm hoping that helps my game out some.

They were raving about the 4 ball and all that comes with it so I'm hoping I can get in it. Let me know if you're playing in it. Maybe catch a round at one of the courses. If you're at Caroline you might know my BIL, last name Cole.

I'm playing the 4 Ball with my old college roommate. He drives up from Jacksonville every year.

Canton is the "players" course around here. More good players have come from that little club than all the others combined. Some of it's the course and some was the influence of Robb Webb. But it's a great place to be for serious golfers. You can always find a talented game

We should try to get in a practice round at Canton at least

Well I'm headed to the beach for a week, but any other weekend I'm up for it. Most of the guys last weekend were trying to get me to join up and play in the big 12:30 group out there. I'm hard to miss, just look for the guy with the big orange cobra bag

Birddog shorts with no underwear
Light colored polo
Long sleeve under armour compression shirt
Hat
Sunscreen
Big canteen of water

I've played in a lot of heat and I think the thing for me that makes it the most comfortable is the long sleeve compression tee

Yes long sleeve

It keeps the sun off your arms which will drain your energy, and also nothing is more stifling and suffocating than a sopping wet cotton polo flopping around and sticking to your body. Also it just feels annoying when you are trying to swing.

the undershirt wicks away moisture and I usually wear a nike or underarmour type polo over. Keeps everything gliding and not sticking to me.

IDK just what works for me

I don't think I've worn a cotton polo/shorts to play golf in like 8 years. The invention of dryfit/moisture wicking shirt/shorts might be the most underrated invention in the past 25 years.

Check out a running or cycling store near you. Cyclist wear the compression sleeves that do the same thing and you don't have the undershirt feeling
