I’ve played this course a couple of times the past couple of months and everytime it’s been just okay. The layout is very forgettable and the course conditions are nothing to write home about. I honestly don’t see how they host a pga event every year.

I gotta say I'm not a huge fan of the layout either and neither are most pros but every time Ive played it it was in great shape. Maybe I'm just lucky. Idk.

You really can’t see how they host a PGA event compared to the other places in the area? Come on.

Not comparing it to other places in the area. If we are talking about that its a great course but the golf scene in Louisiana isn’t exactly amazing. I’m comparing it to the rest of the PGA tour venues. I played beaver creek this past week and the course was in better condition than TPC

You're not wrong about TPC, but to be fair, a lot of the courses played on the PGA Tour aren't great. TPC Southwind in Memphis being ONE. Las Colinas was forgettable (although it moved to Trinity Forrest this year) as well as the course they play in San Antonio. Hell, from what I've heard the course this week they play at The Greenbriar isn't even the best course on the property there.

Interesting. I’ve played TPC Memphis and I thought it was a more interesting layout and a nicer facility. I have not done much research about those other courses you talked about.

It’s a terrible layout. 3 of the four par-5’s are really bad. 1 is an awful opening hole. 4,6, 12, 15 and 16 are just goofy arse par 4’s. 3 and 14 are mondane par-3’s. Even by South Louisiana standards, it’s a bad golf course.

The facilities are nice and it’s usually in pretty good shape.

Couldn't agree more.
