Played a round yesterday and my bro filmed a couple of swings. My right arm is funky as hell. It just doesn’t extend. I played ok too!
But I really want a triangle. Been trying the towel drill. In video of my doing it it seems like my face is square and my hands are extended like I want.
The problem is it feels like I can’t go back as far without dropping the towel.
Does that make sense?

How far back do you need to go? Do you work with a teaching pro?

Harvey Penick said he shortened many swings, but could not recall making a swing longer.

Once your shoulder is under your chin, how much further do you need to take it back?

Rahm and Finau certainly have power and do not make a big turn like John Daly did.

It sounds like you played decently and had fun so your swing must work for you. That’s fine.

This sort of answers my question. My nephew shoots in the 70s and his swing is short as crap.
Thanks!
Probably feels awkward because it’s new.

I would guess you have been incorrectly using your arms to get extended vs correctly turning your body which is the point of the towel drill

I really think so.
I’m gonna just do it a ton in my yard over the next week or two and when golfing to work on that feel.
Lol. No way this thread makes it to the top today.
