It's a 12-piece set. You need 2 more clubs, looks like wedges. It's a good start for a beginner. How old? Any idea on yardages? If you're learning from a relatively young age, I'd rather irons over hybrids. Learning to hit a long iron, while difficult at first, will help in the long run.

Again, get more wedges. Short game is too important not to have them. Gap wedge at least. You may not want/need a Lob just yet so you could hold onto the 4 hybrid.

That will be a good starter set. Don’t listen to ELL, hybrids are the shite. I have an extra brand new GW I’ll sell you. I got it 3 weeks, ago have hit it 5 times, but my new set has a GW in the set.

Let me know welcome to golf baw.

I have a 3 hybrid instead of a 5 wood.

I just mean that stopping at 6 iron isn't ideal even for a beginner. Learning and improving with the 4 and 5 would be better imo. Unless he's older and not long. No reason to waste time struggling then.

You're getting a lot for $400. Even if you don't use some clubs and replace them, I think this is a decent deal.
