Masters week would've been a good time.
Exemptions will start expiring and they’ll fade away.

The Masters organizers really hate change, so LIV golfers who get an invitation this year best win it to keep playing it. Those 5 year exemptions are gone before you know it.

Players have choices to make.

LIV does not have the depth of players that PGA Tour has at this time.

The top of LIV is great, the bottom is below Korn Ferry.
Guys are making bank so it is what it is.

LIV Golfers with Lifetime Exemptions to the Masters

Dustin Johnson
Patrick Reed (This one really sucks)
Sergio Garcia
Bubba Watson
Charl Schwartzel
Phil Mickelson

Players that have five year exemptions (all expirations are based on if he never wins a Masters that would be a lifetime exemption or wins another major that would reset his exemption another five years.)

Cameron Smith (expires in 28)
Bryson Dechambeau (expires in 26)
Brooks Koepka (expires in 25)

All of the rest of players will need OWGR points, a Masters win or another major win to qualify for 2024.

DJ would be the most likely to win another green jacket on this list.

I guess Phil could given he won a major recently.

Bubba would be a surprise, but I give him a shot.

All you people who think LIV is improving the game are eventually going to find out what doing business with the Saudis gets you.

Mickelson said it himself. They are shady af.

Personally I don’t care anymore, I don’t watch much PGA and I’m definitely not logging onto YouTube to watch some LIV event. Just don’t change anything about the majors and I’m fine.

I’ve got a couple decades of dealing with the Saudis. You can definitely make money dealing with them, but anytime you think you got a good deal start counting your kids, because you missed something really important you shouldn’t have.

The LIV golfers are going to find out what they missed is one day soon.

They don't need to, they have lifetime exemptions for the Masters.

I know.

Just saying the list is not a bunch of guaranteed top 5 finishers for the next decade.

Cam, Bryson, and Brooks are going to need to win soon.

I’d guess Cam has the best shot. Brooks has played well at Masters before. Off those 3, I’d guess Bryson has the longest odds.

LIV has to meet certain requirements to meet the OWGR. Chase Koepka has a 9th and 14th place finish despite being ranked outside the top 1000 in the world

LIV needs to adapt to the OWGR guidelines, not the other way around.

Winning a 54 hole tournament is not the same as a 72 hole tournament.

Money. TIA

Do you have to bet win or nothing?

First timers rarely win the Masters; Zoeller 1979 was the last Masters rookie to win I think.

I’d go with a player who is sharp coming into that week. Find somebody with some top 5 finishes 4-6 weeks out.

What kind of odds can you get on Sam Burns? Tony Finau? Victor Hovland? Sunjae Im?

They could also get in with a top 12 finish or a top 4 finish in a different major. The only reason Cameron Champ is playing this year is because he was T-12 or better last year.

Agreed, but clearly the OWGR guidelines are simply suggestions.

If LIV does not get Ranking points, the number of LIV players invited each year will grow smaller until only past Champions who are now LIV will be in the field
