Teaching golf to a lefty

My daughter, like many in my family, has shown signs of being ambidextrous. However, she favors her left. She does many things right handed, but if it gets too difficult, she goes left.
I know many lefties play right handed. Should I encourage her to play left or right? She can hit balls both ways, but if she misses a few right, she goes back left.
She is 3 and hitting with a plastic club and foam balls in the yard right now.

Let her pick. My 3 year old son was the same way but always favored hitting left. When I bought him some clubs, I got left handed so he would concentrate on hitting on one side and not change back and forth based on how he was feeling.

That's the real reason I am asking, I guess. How did you make the decision? I don;t want to screw her for life by going lefty or right.
How easy it is to get left handed clubs? (for kids and adults especially for women)

I'm left handed, played my whole life. Getting clubs isn't hard, but the used market it pretty nonexistent. I'm lucky, a friend that played in college and a friend that now plays professionally is left handed so I can score some stuff from them.
The only thing is they may only have one set of demos and they'll order the clubs for you so you can't walk out of the store with them. That's what I did with my first couple of sets of junior clubs as a kid.

Well, that sucks. Especially with her being a girl. I'll just have to pony up and get her custom stuff. Maybe I can teach her righty. She can be like Jordan Speith and Phil.

I would assume it would be pretty limited anyway being a girl. I just mean you see guys even on here selling really good condition stuff whereas it's much harder find that with lefty stuff.

Well, for starters, they’re standing on the wrong side of the ball.

It's a lot better for lefties nowadays. When I was growing up, it was tough finding decent left-handed clubs.
When she gets older, if she's still wanting to learn, teach her to 'shadow swing' (very much like shadow boxing). Put her back to the sun and have her swing (no ball). Have her practice until her swing looks like that of a decent right-handed golfer.

She will be 4 next month and has been potty trained for well over a year now.
