Has anyone been following the construction of them getting this course back up and running? I think it will be open this winter.

For the TLDR: Double loop course will have 36 greens but par 4 and 5s will share a fairway. Par 3s will share greens.

From their website;

“Q: What does a double loop course mean and what makes this better than other courses?
A: The patented Double Loop Course is unique to golf and consists of a traditional 18 hole golf course consisting of double tee boxes and two green complexes utilizing one common fairway. Every green complex is separate and has its own set of sand traps and obstacles defending it. A T-36 Double Loop Course can be designed as a Par 3 Short Course, Executive Course or a more traditional blend of Par 5’s, 4’s and 3’s as you would see in a traditional 18 hole course. Since the real estate needed is typically 40 percent less this allows for less maintenance expenses and approximately 60% less water usage, measurably reducing the carbon footprint of the courses and the environmental impact of a more traditional 150 to 200 acre 18 hole tract.“

I don’t see how this will work.

It has potential but I think built in the wrong area. That customer base is plant baws who wanna drink and play cow pasture pool.

I played Evergreen a couple of times when it opened and enjoyed it.

So on the new course how do you survive not getting beaned by golf balls ?

I drive to the ghetto and play Gus Wortham all the time. If it’s a good course I’ll play it. Hell I drive to Lake Jackson and play The Wilderness too.

Bump

They open tomorrow and I looked at the price it is $49 for 18 holes with a cart and range balls.
Can’t find any pictures so it’s probably not promising.

You say that it will be all plant baws In Baytown and while I don’t completely disagree, Eagle Pointe in Mont Belvieu should be the same and it generally has got some legit golfers. I think it all comes down to whether it is a goat ranch or not. If it is well maintained I think it draws some better class golfers.

If Par 4s and 5s share a fairway are you waiting for two groups to clear out, one from each 18, before you are able to hit?

I love EP but the pace of play is terrible out there.
