Just ordered the Demo 699 Pro to test out after seeing the rave reviews on here, currently playing with '09 burners. Has anyone hit the 699 and the 699 pro's and is there a significant difference between the two? I was debating the 699 demos but it only came with the 699U.

I have the 699 pros and love them!
The 699 is a bigger version of the pro. Longer blade and thicker all around.
For the price, it would be really hard to beat Sub70.

Thanks Coach, do you like them better than your previous Srixons? (I reached out about buying the set you sold)
I have been looking at the 699 and ZX5's.

Yes. I bought them with the same shafts and modifications as my Srixons.
More distance, more forgiving, higher ball flight but still penetrating. It doesn't balloon on me.
The Srixons had a better soft buttery feel and more workability.
However, when I hit my 8i 170 and dead straight even on a slight mishit, I forgot about that feel really quick. There are shots I hit that when I strike it, I think oh crap. Then, the ball is just off the green instead of 20/30 yards off the green. They just want to go straight which at this point in life is all I want.

ZX5's.
This is your answer. The v-sole aint no joke and has saved my arse numerous times. I use to "chunk: the occasional shot and now I rarely do.

The Vsole on Srixon is legit.
Sub70 uses a Vsole design as well.
