started slowing down my swing -

And its helped wonders with my irons and hybrids.
But, Im now slicing the ball like crazy with my driver. Between taking 50 yards off my Drives and slicing, its killing me.
I used to have a fast swing and had plenty of power. Any thoughts as to what I need to do with a slower swing that I may have stopped doing?

Sounds like you're hitting it with the outside of your foot, which is where that slice is coming from. Keep your head down, the ball will stay lower. Leaning back is just making you lose power and the ball is going to go over the bar.

maybe it was a good thing I posted on the soccer board.
Do you mean the ball is on the outside of my front foot?

Going to rehab, will be back soon.

You've slowed down your swing or slowed down your tempo?
regardless the solution seems pretty simple.
"new" swing with irons and hybrids
"old" swing with driver
Whether it be actual swing speed or torque in transition, there's a good chance that your driver shaft is now too stiff for your new swing which could cause the slice.

I've never played golf, but going by the physics, slicing is the result of the open face of whatever instrument doing the hitting (in golf, the flat side of the club, in soccer, the outside of the foot) hitting the apex of the ball along a tangent at the apex instead of directly at the apex. What this means is that in slowing your swing, you aren't hitting the ball square, which means that either one of your elbows is dropping, or there is a mechanical dysfunction as a result of the grip weakening due to the slower swing.
What I do when I'm faced with an issue that is tied to muscle memory is to break down what I'm doing into parts, and slow down each of those parts, almost to an extreme extent, and make sure my technical approach is perfect. Again, having never played golf, I imagine you want to be perfectly square in every phase of the swing. I'm guessing you would need to make sure the club face is parallel to the ground (as in square) at the beginning of the downswing (the forward motion of the swing).
I have no idea if the specifics are right, as I've never played golf, but breaking down each aspect of the technique into smaller parts is a fantastic problem-solving strategy when it relates to issues with muscle memory. I use it all the time in music if I'm having trouble with a song or section.

Used to do this for shooting (especially free throws and threes)

It works remarkably well, but it requires patience. It can be frustrating until one day the muscle memory just clicks.

I am usually much better when my tempo to the top of my swing is slowed up smoothed out then transition and take a rip. Don’t lose the swing speed but able to have a more consistent game

Obviously there can be so many different reasons for this but I've experienced something very similar so I'll throw my advice out there and maybe it will help. I recently slowed my tempo big time. Feels like a super slow takeaway followed by a delayed but controlled downswing...kinda like a small pause when I reach the top of my backswing before I start my motion down. Irons seem to respond very well and the driver also but I found myself at times as I started the downswing with my driver to be holding back (dragging or lagging) and then trying to over accelerate at the bottom like getting too quick. The problem is when I was trying to gain speed at the bottom of my swing, I had a tendency for my hands to pull in, my left shoulder to pull back and would miss hit with toe of the club or open club face. My fix was to stay slow tempo on backswing, small pause at top and then controlled tempo on downswing but making sure I didn't try and overswing to make up for slower tempo. And making sure my hands didn't pull down and in and left shoulder didn't pull up and out, like trying to hit it down third base line if that makes sense? Those clubs cost alot of money and it's amazing how far they will hit the ball if you hit the sweet spot with just normal club head speed.

You need to find a good golf instructor. The quality of ideas being posted here will only help by pure, random chance.
