Taking a Customer to the US Open next week. We have some time late Tuesday afternoon to play 9 holes. Maybe a few more. I’m looking at Long Leaf Golf Club and Pine Needles. Pine Needles is just pricey. We will play Tobacco Road Wednesday morning so this track doesn’t need to be in pristine condition.

Anyone have an opinion of Long Leaf or Pine Needles or other for a late 9?

I’m doing the same with a customer this week. We’re playing Tabbaco Road Tuesday and Mid Pines Thursday. I’d suggest Mid Pines or Mid South Club which may be a bit cheaper.

Mid Pines and Pine Needles are both top tier, traditional Donald Ross courses. A few years back, the owners of Mid Pines/Pine Needles bought another Ross gem, Southern Pines Country Club. They completely restored the course and the reviews have been great. Either of those 3 would be great for a late afternoon round and provide quite a contrast with Tobacco Road!
