I have always been a spike guy, but I've been hearing that the spikeless grip just fine and are more comfortable.

Thoughts?

Have spikes, want to get spikeless. More comfortable from the ones I’ve tried on.

Much rather spikes but unless your on tour most places won't let you wear them. Hopefully with the new usga rules more courses will allow you to wear spikes.

Think he means soft spikes v the sketcher type spikeless shoes.

Don't see the metals making a comeback.

Why would any of the new rules make courses change their stance on metal spikes?

I enjoy my soft spikes but have lots of anecdotal evidence from others about the comfort of spikeless. I am also interested in the difference in feel. Maybe some of you low handicappers will have some good advice.

Also, I've had my eye on some sharp puma's that you don't have to tie, but that's another discussion.

He knows that. He’s trying to derail another thread. Don’t pay attention to him.

I saw those. The Ignite NXT laceless or no tie

I like the look of the NXT with laces

I keep both spikes and spikeless in my trunk.

Use the spikeless on dry days, and spikes when it's wet out for better grip.

I'll add that Addidas makes the most comfortable golf shoes on the market in my opinion.

Saw these at the pga show and bought a pair today. Real comfortable to wear during work and good enough traction to play in. Might go back and get their boa version since they are the same price unlike boa. Puma got some fresh looks

You now can tap down spike marks. Metal spikes are better for the maintenance of greens for golf courses and better for the player. I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing courses allow them and spikes making a comeback.

Courses can’t handle the local clubbed foot type taking gashes out of the green

I just bought my first pair of spikeless about a month ago. I went with the Adidas Crossknit 2.0 golf shoes. My wife makes fun of me and calls them my geriatric shoes because of the elastic Velcro strap, but holy shite they are the most comfortable golf shoes I've ever owned.

Play in the morning a lot? Get spikes, it's still wet.

I enjoy my FJ-DNA soft spikes, the shoes are comfortable, fit well and waterproof, I'll be sticking with them

My spikeless shoes tend to slip a lot so I rarely wear them

Both. Spikes when wet and more importantly waterproof.

For spikeless I have a pair of truelinkswear knits. It may be mental but I feel like have better ball striking with them and can use the ground more efficiently. Probably all mental but it certainly feels better and more consistent in them.

Only bummer is they can be slippery on concrete for some reason and busted my arse when my front steps were wet.
