I played in shamble with handicap adjustment.

It was a four man with best 2 net balls counting.

What would be a really good score?
My wild guess was 32 under would win so 112 as a two score team net.

I new we would not win as one of our guys rarely finished a hole, but he had 17 strokes and made a put on a par 3 for a net ace. He had maybe 3 net birdies.

42 under win the event. Most scores clustered between 125-135.

It was fun, but I enjoy a scramble format more.

Reading that gave me a headache

Way too much math involved for me on a golf course. I’d prefer a standard 4 man scramble like you said.

I played in two scrambles this last weekend. Really hate what scrambles stand for. Hitting from the white tees, buying mulligans and using them on the "honor system" and the latest trend of buying strings to shorten putts. And there is no consensus on how to use the string.

48 won both tournaments. Not my group of course. I don't go to scrambles to win. I don't like cheating on the course, and there's always a group or two willing to "go low".

2 man scrambles where you keep the other groups score, playing from blues, and no hokey string to reduce putts.

I guess they gotta sell you something since it's always for charity, but the game becomes not fun.

We played in a scramble this weekend and we combined 2-foursomes together. We played at same speed as the 1-foursome in front and foursome behind us never waited.

This eliminated the extra drives, 3 mulligans from fairway and the 10 putts.
