ARCCOS website

Disclaimer -- I have only played one round with it, as I've been playing in scrambles and shite since then (and you don't want to use it for that, it'll ruin your stats). And this was my first round since pre-duck season, so there's are my excuse for the shite scorecard

Now that that is out of the way, on to the meat

This is the best golf tool I have ever bought. hands down.

14 sensors are screwed into the top of your grips. They are virtually weightless, and very unnoticeable in setup/swing. You pair each club/sensor to the ARCCOS app on your phone when you install them (one-time startup thing that takes about 10 mins-very straightforward)

The deal is, when you pull a certain club from your bag and take an IMPACT SWING (important, if you take multiple swings from one location [practice swings] ARCCOS automatically assumes they are practice swings and only registers 1 stroke[if you need to actually take a penalty or whatever you will have to enter that manually but it's super easy]) it registers the GPS location of that swing and the stroke on the hole. You move on to the next shot and pull the next club. ARCCOS uses the GPS from the next stroke to calculate TONS of stats on the previous stroke. and so on and so forth throughout the round.

I never had to check the app (unless I wanted to for gPS distances on the holes). ARCCOS pinged every club, every shot perfectly. Didn't miss a stroke, didn't add a wrong stroke or club even once.

You have to play with your phone in your front pocket. There is no tap, or entering or whatever for registering the club. The sensor and your phone talk via bluetooth so the phone needs to be in a good spot to get the ping. I hate playing with shite in my pockets, and after 2-3 holes I was cool with the phone there (and its a big as slice of bread iphone 7+).

The stats, holy shite, the stats. It's too much to spell out in a post. You need to dig into the website. I'll post screenshots from my dashboard (accessible via app and desktop) for you to digest and ask questions on specific details. Pay attention to the scorecard. All stats are kept for all rounds played. Everything is staticised for averages.

This is live hole by hole tracking from the card:

Scorecard:

Smart Distance:

Club Detail:

Running all-time Bests:

Approach accuracy (or lack-there of )

Driving accuracy (or lack-there of )

Yeah man, all my friends who are thinking about buying new clubs and shite right now I'm telling them to put that money towards this first

$299 is pretty reasonable if you ask me for the shite it spits out.

It's going to help my game so much, giving me my points I need to work on instead of just assuming.

After crunching all of the date, where are your biggest weaknesses?

I need a device that attaches to my beer can and can sense when it is getting low. It then would page the beer cart girl to get her arse over to my location.

Is it just $299 one time for the system or do you have a subscription?

Looks really cool

No they have batteries in the sensors that claim to last 5 years. They say by then the next gen sensors will be so much better you'll want to buy new ones anyway

I need some more rounds but obviously I need to work on my approach accuracy a ton and my putting.

I tend to play a cut so naturally I push. I'm 36% right of fairway, I'd like to even that out more. I can also see from my approach accuracy I'm pushing most out to the right a bit.

My driving distance saves my lack of accuracy off the tee more often than not.

My handicap breakdown:
Driving: +3.8
Approach: 17.0
Chipping: +1.9
Putting: 5.5

So just high level from that I need to work irons and putting moreso than anything else.

Maybe I'm old school and played so much junior golf that I'm used to yardage books and charting shots on scorecards, but what is this helping you with that you wouldn't be able to otherwise obtain with tracking your normal stats via pencil?

Not knocking it because the tech behind it is obviously neat, but I'm already tracking distances, position, etc. with general ease.

I mean I guess nothing really.

But what do you do with those pencil stats, enter them into a spreadsheet?
Run statistical analysis on locations?
Keep a running handicap, that breaks down into categories of handicap (driving approach, chipping, sand, putt)?

This, I guess, does the same thing but it is run by software, so it spits out results in a quick analysis format so you don't have to spend the time keeping track and digesting the data.

Let's imagine you had ARCCOS on your clubs for 5 years. Could you run analyitics on 5 years worth of pencil stats?

I need to have this.

I would love to see my data after a month of rounds.

What I love is that it really highlights your weaknesses.

I'm too inconsistent to need 5 years of stats

I also have a rain man like memory when it comes to previous rounds.

What did you get the 360 package and the driver package? Buying this when I get back to Tampa. Saw an article about the system earlier this year at the PGA merchandise show.
