Finally done with school and will be starting work next month. I’ll have 3 days off every week. Not planning on having kids for at least another 5 years, so I’ll have a good bit of time to get in some golf. I had some hand me down Callaway irons that were a tad bit too short. Looking at possibly getting some pings. Any other recs?

The Mizuno JPX forged were what I wanted to buy prior to hitting any of the new irons out. I couldn’t stand the look over the ball. The top line is giant and they just look chunky. The tours looked right but just didn’t give me the numbers I wanted.

I ended up with I210s and they’re awesome. Best performance for me and my swing and they feel great. I hit TM, Callaway Apex Pro, Mizuno, Srxion and Pings.

My personal order was I210, the Srxion 785, then Apex Pro.

Taylormade M2 irons are some great mid-high handicap irons. They are very strong lofted.

Are you going to buy new? If so, definitely hit them all and get fit. If you plan on buying new to you used irons, then I'd try to find similar shafts as what you've been playing in terms of weight and overall feel. There are alot of great irons that have come out over the past decade and i'd find a good used rack and hit them all. I'd be hesitant of power lofted irons as you'll get better and then have some serious gapping issues with wedge play.

Putter - look into some of the face tech stuff. Evnroll is good but hard to find to test out. Ping does something similar with their putters.

I went to a demo day recently and my favorite iron was the new Pings...I think the G410’s. They had a great feel. As far as putters...I stink at putting so I am useless.
