Needing a backyard practice net. Any suggestions? Have a pretty tight space but think I can make one fit. TIA

Scour Facebook marketplace.
Chipping nets are like treadmills. You’ll use it twice then it’ll become a garage ornament.

A net without a launch monitor is one of the worst things I can think of for a golfer. If you can’t see what the ball is doing then you just repeat the slice or hook or whatever else your miss over and over never knowing any different creating bad muscle memory further instilling what your doing wrong.
If you are literally just beginning they’re fine, but once you can consistently get the ball air born they’re a terrible thing to have. That is unless you spend the money and have a monitor showing what your ball is doing, theoretically at least.

I’ve found that a painters tarp is infinitely better and always cheaper.
The designated golf nets eventually always wear or get holes. The tarp you buy based off thickness, I’d just buy a thick one and use that.
The best golf net you could buy and the only one I’ve ever seen last is the net return pro, which do seem to hold up well admittedly... but they cost about $1k.
You could buy the thickest painters tarp on the planet (which is still overkill) and I think it’s under $200
