Playing partner running out of balls

This has happened to me more than one would think and really gets under my skin. Have y’all had to give balls out?

You need to find better playing partners...

Ah if it’s a friend I wouldn’t really care. I can tell you that there have been many times mid round I reach in my bag for a ball and say “oh shite, 3 balls left”. I used to carry a bunch of spare balls to hit practice shots and shite but when I started walking I ditched all the extra weight.

Never had this happen to me

No and if it’s happening on the reg I’d let them know

I’ve never ran out of balls. I’ve switched to shag balls in my bag if I’m off and losing a few good balls. Worst case, if I feel like I’m running lower than expected, I’ll pick a sleeve or two up at the turn just to be safe.
I’ve also never been asked by anyone to borrow a ball or two during a round.

No. Pretty much everyone I’ve played with finishes with the same number they started with.
Admittedly we’re not playing on courses with a lot of water. Put me on 17 at Sawgrass I’m sure I’d dunk one occasionally.

Agree that this is a respect thing. If they forget one round they should provide to you for the next round. It’s all part of the etiquette

Only had it happen once, friend had switched from a cart bag to small carry bag and late in round dunked what turned out to be his last ball. I always have a good many so gave him a sleeve and left it at that.

All you have to do is find a hotspot on the course and reload. As long as it's not a packed day, you're good to go.
I play golf with a guy normally, and he was running low on balls recently. I gave him about 5 or so balls I've found. He had a crap round and threw a few balls into the woods. . . as if he had plenty. I won't be giving him any more balls.
And honestly, I rarely ever buy new balls. I'm a low 80s golfer, but I've never really grown partial to any specific ball and I'm too stubborn to admit that any specific ball will shave strokes off my game.
