re: Phoenix/Scottsdale Course Recs
Ok, if I were you guys I’d play Troon (try for monument, mainly bc there’s a couple more memorable holes but Pinnacle also awesome) and Verde River on your 36 hole day.

WeKoPa play the cholla course. It’s spectacular.
Eagle Mtn is good but play it before WeKoPa. Eagle Mtn will be the easiest of the courses.

Greyhawk-it’s always in great shape, but personally I’d rather play either the other Troon course or Saguaro course at WeKoPa instead. But if someone in your group really wants to play greyhawk I understand. It will be a nice track.

You may be surprised about how you play w desert golf. Less trees, and less rough tend to help me. When I go to other areas and have to play out of thick rough (especially around greens) it can wreak havoc.

Also, as a bonus course you guys should really consider playing the Short Course at Mountain Shadows. It’s an 18 hole par 3 course right next to Camelback mountain that is a lot of fun and has spectacular views. It’s a fun outing if you guys enjoy a little money game between everyone. And you can play it under 3 hours easily, and its easy to walk.

Let me know what you decide. Bring lots of balls lol.

Still a good ways out- but pretty much know what we are doing now.

Troon Monument
WeKoPa (probably both courses)
Southern Dunes
Verrado Founders
Mountain Shadows*- really want to play here but someone on Golf WRX was talking about how bad the greens are this winter and doubts they'll recover by April.
We will play Eagle Mountain if we can get the price right, but have all agreed not dropping $200 out there.

Played southern dunes after they hosted a huge AM tourney and it whooped me. Lots of sand, very firm greens where you can’t stop if you’re chipping downhill, and massive undulations in the greens
