What are the "must play" courses in the area?

The Hombre
The Holiday pay 3 course
Signal Hill
If you go down to watercolor area - those answers are the same as always (camp creek, santa rosa golf, origins, etc.)
The Hombre used to have the last day of Q school there...some of the holes on the THE UGLY are VERY hard.

I’m on the Hombre Saturday. Looking forward to it from what I’ve heard

Hombre held q school for many years but it was second stage, not the finals.

Yeah this may be the one. Everybody else rec'd it too.

I'm assuming there's a typo in there somewhere...plus I'm not down with Par 3 courses.

Course is in good shape, greens are decently fast and hold shots well. OB is right off a lot of fairways, and only a couple trees saved me from it when I got loose with the driver.
You won’t hit driver a lot. Tight and twisty short holes

I played there last fall. One of the 9s is gone and I think it’s the ugly. I believe all they have now is the food and the bad.
They sold the land to a developer.

Bad and ugly are what I played

I'm going down all of next week. I will probably play Hombre.
Funny thing is, our house is 0.5 miles from Holiday but I've never played their 18 hole course.

How are the practice facilities at Hombre? Holiday is a little limited since you can't hit woods on the range.

You can hit anything on the range. Not a huge putting green, but it has good similarities with the course.

Follow up.....
Got back home today. Played Hombre last Tuesday and it was nice. The greens and fairways were both really good. The layout isn't my favorite in a golf course though. It's a lot of target golf. I hit my driver 4 times I think?
It's also a course that you should be able to drop 4 or 5 strokes from your first-time-through round once you know the holes. I teed off with 2i probably 5 times and could've used a 3i on a couple others.
Bring a range finder for your first time through. That would help ALOT. I currently don't have one and their carts don't have gps. We played the one-ups as suggested by the pro and I managed a lack luster 85 with 4 water balls. Btw, theres water on 15/18 holes.
And to answer someone else...The Good is closed now and being developed for more housing. Our front 9 was The Bad and obviously The Ugly was the back.
