How do you get rid of the anxiety of missing opportunities and let yourself play without fear or stress?

Honestly, I play from the front tees once a month.

It teaches my head that it's OK to score low.

Hello all.

When you’re playing good and approaching your best round ever.. do you get anxiety?

I am at a point in my golf game where my physical tools cannot get better. However, my mental side is holding me back from making a few more putts a round, or from not going on a 4 hole bogey run to ruin a low score.

Try being -1 at #13 when your best round is +4 at this particular course. Cry me a river, shite your pants and work through it like the rest of us.

I finished +3.

I was -2 with on #5 tee. Started on #10 so 5 holes to go. My best round was -1. Lipped out a par putt on that hole. Miss the green on a par 3 and straight shank a chip shot but somehow made a bogey. Tap in par on the next. Chili dipped a 5 foot par putt on the next hole but made the 3 footer after that. Now +1 on the tee of an easy par 5 that I’ve actually made a 2 on before by a lot of luck. Shitty drive, lay up, miss the green with a wedge, lip out a chip shot. Tap in for +1. It’s a dumb game we play

Don't add up your score at the turn. Because then you'll know what your back nine needs to be and you'll be all in your head.

Yesterday I doubled 18 thinking that I shot 90 on the number. Went back and added up the front for a 44 and ended up shooting 41 on the back for an 85

You need to create a pre-shot routine and stay loyal to it. That’ll help you “get in the zone” before you even step up to the ball

Harris English is as cool as a cucumber on the course.

Modeling your on course attitude after him would be a huge benefit.
