Have a trip planned to NOLA in the next few weeks. Looking for suggestions on where to play. One day one round.

TPC and Bayou Oaks are both aerifying this upcoming week. English Turn is in bad shape according to those on this board who've played it recently.

If you are looking for a really nice course. Bayou oaks south or TPC Louisiana are the best in the area. Audubon is usually in great shape but it’s mostly par 3s. If you’re looking for something on the less expensive end, Bartholomew is probably the best value.

Randy and Neil of No Laying Up with their Strapped series seemed to enjoy Audubon Golf Course while they were in New Orleans. I may hit that up when I am in town next week.

The south course aerified after the state am, didn’t they? I saw the note when booking a tee time for next week too, but it doesn’t make sense.

I played in the Mackel there this morning and the greens were excellent. I doubt they've been aerified in the past 3-4 weeks.

They do the ninja tines so it isn’t that bad. I think theyre doing 9 on monday and 9 on Tuesday. Should be unnoticeable in a week.

Like someone said. TPC and bayou oaks SOUTH are the best. But they are both being aerated.

Across on the north shore they have carter plantation. Also LaTour is great down in race land. But only 2 really good options in Nola now.

Unfortunately you picked the worst time to come to Nola for golf.

Woolf, you replied to me and not the OP.

Lakewood did maintenance a few weeks ago and should be okay by now.

LaTour is scheduled for work some time in August according to what they told me last time I played there.

If OP can travel from NOLA a bit, he should play LaTour.

If his trip is a few weeks out, he should play City Park South or TPC if they've recovered.

The good news is that I’m going to be down there in a few weeks so both courses should be in good shape by then. I’ll flip a coin & hope for a good round.
