Ive putted with a Zing 5 for years but did a full bag overhaul last week. I selected the Odyssey White Hot Fang putter and struggled today. Any tips on going from a blafe to a mallet style

I used this one Saturday. When I went back to my old putter, it made everything feel much better. Just tinker. I went from a mallet to blade.
Plus, it’s fun trying putters.

This thread is really enlightening. I hope the OP got what he was looking for.

1) read the putting advice thread and see if any of it makes sense to you.
2) putter fittings can be very helpful.
3) how are you missing putts? Left, right, short, long?

First tip that involves very little effort would be to drop a clevis pin in the shaft under the grip. It's about a $3 way to counter balance. Counter balancing will quiet the hands and make the head feel a little lighter. Other option is to just practice until you no longer feel weird about using a mallet.

ETA: Buy a few different length clevis pins and keep the receipt. Return the ones you dont use. Works best if you can remove and save your putter grip. I usually just hold the grip in my hands to get the gist then install permanently.

I can see deep enough to appreciate the humor. And that was funny.
