This is a pretty solid breakdown of how the new system will work. Interesting to see how the course condition part will work out.

This is gonna frick up my spreadsheet.
That's ok. Wont take long to recode it.

Seems like a good effort overall.
But the weather adjustment feels like an incentivized data collection system.

I’ll still just put my scores in and see what it says.

Pain in the butt for tournament organizers since the handicaps change everyday. No planning ahead and pulling handicaps a week before.

15 years ago maybe. But with everything going app based and the USGA finally acknowledging that the game has changed and people aren’t members of country clubs anymore, seems like this is a simple data pull the day before.

They can still pull a week early. Just say ahead of time that they will use handicaps as they are on a set date and you’re good to go.

The soft cap system is interesting too, seems like it will be harder to sandbag your handicap before a tournament.
