Played there a couple months before Hurricane Laura, love that course. Obviously don’t plan on playing it anytime soon, but was just wondering if anyone knew what condition it’s in post storm? Would assume pretty banged up w some downed trees.

Busted up pretty good, was there delivering chain saws Monday. Headed back in the morning, they will have it playable soon!

Yes, course was in excellent condition

A friend attached his GoPro to his cart and gave a tour of the course shortly after the storm, and I couldn’t recognize the holes.

I joked that there were 2 trees I hoped were wiped out, but there were seriously no trees that were unaffected

It was depressing to watch, but I know they will get it back ASAP. And in the meantime, Oakbourne has stepped up and given reciprocal privileges to LCCC members for a small fee.

Incredible gesture.

Damn shame about the trees.

Gray Plantation was so much better before Rita and I am sure that they lost whatever trees that they had left now.

I remeber playing Gray before Rita, it was my favorite course in La. Played after Rita and was devastated how much different it was. Still a good course but it lost a tremendous amount character.

The left side of that oak being gone wouldn’t hurt my feelings

I got a text a minute ago saying the course doesn’t look to bad from the road where he passed by a few of the holes

Yes.. LOL

If you can hit a high fade with the driver you can go around/over it. I usually try it in scrambles but rarely go for it on my own ball.

Unfortunately, that tree survived...

The trees on the golf course took a beating, but not many of the greens had trees near, so I believe the greens are fine. The maintenance crew went to work clearing the course probably two days after. I would say it's probably cleared by now.

Going to be easier now. Those trees were part of what little defense LC CC had.
