Because you could've shot 74 it's a cruel fricking game
A few weeks back I shot a 77 with no birdies or doubles. I killed our 4 birdies and tapped an bunch of boring pars. But I come back for more every time

When the game was first called golf it was golfe. Wasn't long until it was made a 4 letter word.
It is arguably the worst curse word in the English language. At least after missing a 3 footer for birdie.

missed a 3 footer coming back Sunday for 80. 10 pars, 8 bogies. 40 on front, was even after 5 on back and bogeyed last 4 including the easiest handicapped hole on the entire course.
