The Island had their share of poa problems in the past. Just like Beaver. Same kind of grass, about the same age.
Beaver’s rounds per year far exceed the Island, which is not a good thing. There’s not enough good courses to go around and when one starts getting a good rep, it gets slammed (like Carter is). Now Beaver….and soon the Island.

Played for the first time this past week, impressed to say the least. #9 green has some POA but other than that the course was in fantastic shape. Greens rolled true. Not sure how busy it gets, but only complaint we had was traffic on the bridge on the way back through EBR.
