I am needing tips on Links on the Bayou in Alexandria

Ok I am once again asking for your support. This will not be the last time btw
So if you're new to my threads, I'm playing in a North LA tour and most of them have been on courses I haven't played yet. I've gotten tips on Calvert Crossing, Oakwing, Chennault, and Tamahka. Every post has helped out so I appreciate it
I would appreciate any tips on Links on the Bayou I could get. Any hidden ditches, hidden OB areas to look out for, bunkers to especially avoid, doglegs I should or shouldn't cut, etc. I'll take any tips and pointers I can get. Course in pretty good shape?
Just a little info. I'll be playing the tips on the front, and blues on the back. I'm on the longer side of distance, drives normally around 300. My 14th club is normally a toss up between a 4H (my 225-235 club) and my 60. Usually go with the 60 if there's a decent amount of bunkers.
TIA

#1 - avoid the fairway bunkers even if you have to lay back, as this should be a 3 shot hole anyway, unless you don't start here. be aware of exactly where the left edge of the pond is. Do not go long on the approach.
#2 - lots of ways to play this. I used to hit iron off the tee, but realized driver was my best play because that gets me to the widest part of the fairway. water right and OB left.
#6 - I would not go after a back pin. The green narrows up back there and chipping to it is one of the most difficult chips/pitches on the course.
#7 - Pin position should dictate your second shot here. I would try to go look at this green. It slopes off downhill left/right from a center high point. If I cannot reach it, I generally want to be well right for an easier approach unless the pin is left of the crest.
#9 - OB right and water left. I think most are better off playing to or just past the 150. The lake eats up long or right to left balls.
#12 - Another green I would want to see. Big slope to the rear after the middle. Can be tough to hold an approach back there.
#14 - Big swale in center of green. left is generally better than right on this one.
#15 - Another slightly deceiving pond. Know where the left edge is unless you really hit a good drive here.
Everything else, to me, is pretty straight forward.

#1 stay away from left side of fairway. Dont even look over there.
If you lay up on your second shot, there is water short of the green that cuts across part of the fairway. Anything long into the green will end up in a back yard.
#2 with your length, lay up off the tee. Even a well hit 3 wood can end up in the water thru the fairway. I always try to land on the front of the green with my approach because anything long, will end up in the water behind the green.
#3 you don’t want to be long with your approach
#4 hit driver as hard as you can. Don’t miss the green long or right.
#5 hit it hard right at the green. Should be left with a little pitch at the most.
#6 the green is deeper than it looks. Long and left is no good.
#7 if you go for the green with your second, don’t miss left. Short and right of the green is a good spot.
#8 short and right is the best miss
#9 tight fairway. I usually hit 4iron.
I’ll do back 9 later

Fairway bunkers off the tee or greenside? Links on the bayou's "course map" is basically just eye level pictures from the tee box so you cant tell anything.

quote:Fairway bunkers. Using google maps overhead might help with some of these comments.
Fairway bunkers off the tee or greenside?

Depending on what tees I'm playing. If I'm playing back usually 3 wood. Up, 2 iron. 1,2,5,7,9 have hazard and OB. 10,11,12,13 OB right. 14,15, water hazard right. 18 carries over water. Watch your lay ups on 1 and 15, water sneaks out into the fairway a little in front of both greens. 6 don't go left, hazard. 18 if the wind is blowing out of the south makes it tougher. Long and left is bail out. Greens aren't overly complex just watch your downhill putts on a few holes.
