Should I take my clubs with me to take a break from the casinos and play Grand Bear?

Fallen Oak if staying at the Beau, otherwise play The Preserve before Grand Bear.

I'll be at Harrah's since my points come from going to Cherokee, NC. My friend who I am going with brought up Fallen Oak. We will be there for 5 days so we may be going there as well.

Fallen Oak is the best, then the Preserve. Grand Bear is a notch below, and I have a soft spot for the Oaks. Got some fun little holes there, and it's cheap as shite.

How does this place compare to Diamondhead? I've never been to the Oaks.

I haven't played Diamondhead in years, but I think they're fairly similar. Tree-lined with houses for the most part, but it's got a couple of funky greens and some decent par 5's. Usually in good shape, plus cheap.

I like the Bear better than The Preseve, personally. The Preserve is prettier for sure, but I enjoy the layout at Bear more. Just my opinion.

Fallen Oak is gorgeous, that would be my choice.

I hope to be later. Golf Digest agree with me:

LINK

Golfweek has The Preserve rated just one notch above:

https://www.google.com/amp/golfweek.com/2017/06/08/best-you-can-play-mississippi/amp/

I said it was my opinion and admitted the Preserve is the prettier course. Is your acsertstion that the Bear is a shithole or something?

Meet me at Sonic, Baw.

I don’t want to fight or anything... it’s almost lunch time.

Good debate. Value wise, I think Grand Bear wins. Preserve has PGA tour conditions.

In fairness, I’ve played Grand Bear about 10 times. It fits my eye off the tee, and I tend to score well there.

I played the Preserve only twice, and once with a hangover. I just remember there being a bunch of native grass that seemed to swallow golf balls. Maybe I need to play it again. But $129 to get kicked in the balls repeatedly wasn’t a lot of fun.
