Golftec for a relative newbie?

I am looking to get into the sport - more forced upon me with work and everyone saying we should go golfing.
I did lessons in Miami for about 3 months and played a few rounds. Got a trigger point behind my shoulder blade that took months of therapy to get figured out (it was probably a combo with my lifting).
Is Golftec good for me? could get some lessons for christmas as they have specials but won't do it if they are only for "established" players

GOLFTEC is very much for beginners. Established players tend to go elsewhere. If anything it’s a good place to log practice time in the winter. A package will usually throw in a fitting as well.

This is a good point. If you are in Ohio, practicing inside may be your only option. So, if you get the package that allows you to show up to use a bay whenever may be useful.
However, if you do have opportunities to hit balls/play outside, that may be a better option for a beginner. My dad got me a 3 lesson package a few years back. I wasn't a beginner, so maybe this won't apply to you, but I didn't enjoy hitting into the net. That feeling of getting the swing right and seeing the actual path of the ball is something that keeps you coming back. If you aren't very into it already, I can't imagine hitting balls into a net will keep you coming back.

I went just to check it out and had a swing analysis done. The guy spent almost half the session pitching a package deal and "gameplan" that I didn't have the slightest interest in. I did get some pointers but a lesson on the course is better if you don't want to deal with BS.

Perfect. Yea I want to tell the guy straight up don't sell me anything. I may do the package for xmas which includes the swing analysis 10 lessons and 3 months to practice. If I already have the package when I go in then he may not sell me crap (I already paid them)

If you live in Ohio might want to check out The Golf Room. I follow them on IG, instructor is very well renowned (Kyle Morris)
I go to GOLFTEC now and my guy is not pushy at all, he pretty much knows I’m just there to get ball flight data and practice indoors during DC winters. He lets me demo clubs and helps with fitting but told me to save some money and get a used set on eBay or something that matches. This is very dependent on the individual but not all are pushy.
Yes hitting balls outside is better, but you can’t always with weather. Hitting balls into a net is better than nothing. Hitting balls outside with little golfing experience or lessons probably just means frustration and grooving bad habits. Hitting outside also means hitting shitty range balls with no data or swing video playback.

Seeing the analytics is freaking awesome so my session was still worth it. I was accidentally a half hour early so I got to look at my gappings and hit every club. Was more fun than the lesson

Right? I was always guesstimating my shite before. Now I pretty much know carry and spin.

GolfTec is definitely worth it for a beginner. I was taking lessons at a different place but decided to get the swing evaluation done at GolfTec because the location was closer to me. I immediately saw an improvement in my swing. But I made the mistake of taking 30min Lessons.. I didn’t know that I could schedule two lessons back to back for an hour lesson. Really like the data points from their camera systems.
I’ve never used the practice sessions mainly due to the fact that when I want to go practice, there is not an open bay to use. So keep that in mind too.
