Felt like it was Summer of 2000 or 2001. Before 9-11. The world was a simpler place.

Tiger haters today act like they did in 1997 when a black kid was tearing up Augusta.

The early 2000s were really amazing times. Everyone knew what time Tiger was teeing off on Saturday and Sunday.

I admit I squealed like a teenage girl when he hit that rope from the trees and drained that birdie putt on #9.

100% locked in for 5 straight hours on a Sunday afternoon. It was magical.

Agreed, but I don't get nearly as interested in the PGA as I do the other majors. When -16 wins a tournament, it isn't a major. It's the Greater Greensboro Open.

Unless you're wearing red you're not doing it right.

so like the Masters in 2015 and 2010? And the Masters champion this year was 15 under and 14 under in 2011.

Winning score at the British was 20 under in 2016, 15 under in 2015, 17 under in 2014, and 16 under in 2010.

So basically, I guess you only enjoy the US Open that tries to manufacture scores

Or maybe you don't watch golf at all

I really wish ESPN would make the highlight package from today with the NFL Primetime highlight theme in the background with Chris Berman doing the narration.

I watch the majors, but I prefer to watch these guys grind out pars instead of watching birdie fests. If the majority of the leaderboard is under -10, then the course isn't challenging enough.

so basically the majority of major tournaments.

Since 2000, the winner at the Masters has shot worse than 10 under 7 times in 19 tournaments

Since 2000, the winner of the British has shot worse than 10 under just 8 times.

Since 2000, the winner of the PGA has shot worse than 10 under just 8 times.

Sine 2000, the winner of the US Open has only shot better than 10 under twice.

So....like I said, either you don't care much for golf, in general, or only enjoy the US Open.

I think the course this year was set up nicely.

Easy to score, but will punish a player for not being accurate. I enjoy the mixture of players having to decide on when to try to score and when to play it a bit safer. This weekends course had both trouble holes and risk/reward set ups.

If you aren’t excited after watching golf today, then maybe you should pick a new sport. I for one would rather there be 10 players in contention on Sunday. Really puts the pressure on the last groups and makes them earn it.

P.S. Adam Scott needs to putt like everyone else.

ETA: a person saying a tour course isn’t challenging is being purposefully dense.

ETA 2: seeing Cink up there was an awesome bonus.

Only 5 golfers finished under -10. Why are you bitching again?
