My Mizuno driver has these different options. I've only played with Standard so far. Relatively new to the game. ~1 year. A lot of my drives slice/push to the right due to an over the top swing path.

I know I need to work on fixing this (I am on the range, just hasn't translated to the course yet).

Any point in trying out one of these different settings or should I stick with Standard until I gain more consistency? What is the difference between upright/standard?

ETA: Also does anyone else swing Mizuno drivers/woods?

So if you look at the diagram you can see that changing the loft also changes the lie angle and the face angle. A negative angle is a close face. So raising the loft closes the face and vice versa. These are all relatively minor adjustments though and won’t compensate for a swing flaw. They just fine tune trajectory.

I never subscribed to this sorcery, but I do subscribe to spineing, puring, or frequency tuning a shaft. That is where the real magic is. You rotate the shaft to make these supposed changes in loft, lie, etc. and you will move the shaft's spine to an undesirable position. Find your spine, aline the shaft accordingly, then install the grip to help with your hand placement.
