do it yourself. One of the easier club repair jobs.
Step 1: Abrade the tip of the shaft.
Step 2: Mix up some epoxy
Step 3: Apply epoxy to adapter and shaft
Step 4: Wait for epoxy to cure

Except it's not quite that easy. If you use to much epoxy and run it too far inside the shaft past the last point of contact from the driver adapter, you'll create a sear point. Some say it doesn't matter but I've seen two driver heads fly down range because of it when I was learning the process.

OP don’t worry, it really is as easy as I stated. I’ve built hundreds of shafts and never had that problem. If you need to extract an adapter from a shaft, then I’d leave that to someone who knows what they’re doing.

There is a guy that lives right by Greystone in Denham Springs that has put tips on a couple of my drivers shafts and the guys at Edwin Watts actually directed me to him. A little surprised they didn't mention him??? Sorry, but I cannot remember his name but I would assume the guys at Greystone should know him. He plays golf there also.

Thats not what "tipping" a shaft means.

I think that is him.
I have used him before on some club work.

a shaft tip needs to go on a shaft. call it what you want but i need a tip on the end of a shaft.

I've done it a few times and watched numerous others. If that has happened to you, I am going to suggest that you may have utilized the wrong kind of epoxy or failed to shim it properly. If you use the correct diameter and proper epoxy, it is legit easiest club work to do.
ETA: OP, to answer your question, guy outside of Greystone will and Dicks Sporting Goods.

Tipping a driver shaft means cutting a section of the tip off. When you hear someone say they're playing XYZ shaft tipped an inch, it literally means an inch was cut off the tip of the shaft to make it play stiffer.
You need an adapter epoxied onto the tip of a driver shaft.
Just different terms.
