At the new PXG Store in Houston. It was a very comprehensive fitting with trackman, screen set on St. Andrew's #18. I burned some calories for sure.

What I really like about it was the fitting rooms are quiet with no distractions.

They also use the proper lighting in the bay which really helps.

Results-

Since I play a draw, the fitter moved and tried different head weights. Really took his time to get the best results.

Gen 5 driver 10.5 with a Fuji Ventue 50 shaft.

The new driver is very nice looking .

Gen 5 XF, 4 wood with a Fuji Ventus 60 Red shaft with heavier head weights.

Putter - went with the Bat Attack with 2 degrees of loft and 35.75 length. Added 12 gram weight to get the proper feel and head weight.

Should have them in 7-8 business days.

Nice, everyone raving about it.

That doesn't feel too long to you?

Anything over 34 for me feels like a walking stick.

I wonder how many sets bopper had in his garage.

It has to be insane.

I'm almost 6'4

So the length will help the old back .

Distance is not a issue.

Now chipping is whole another thing...

Is the loft on a 4 wood 17 degrees?

Lofts have gone down so much over the years.

My 7 wood is 24. My 5 wood is 21.

I looked at 5 woods at 18.

Stock 3 woods are 15 now.

The manufacturers have taken the lofts down on clubs year after year. Eventually, there will be a 40 degree gap wedge.

Yes, the 4 wood is 17 degrees and has rails on the sole.

I only have 1 set of clubs and 2 extra putters.

I'm a little obsessed with keeping a clean garage with things in their place.

I did give some clubs to a guy that runs a junior golf club for kids.

Right now I have more BBQ pits than clubs lol.

Weber grill

Kamado Joe 3 smoker

Rec Tec Pellet Grill

Fire Disc ( just bought this, it's a blast to cook on )

John Daly is now hitting the new Gen 5 Driver.

I don't think that he is worried about his distance.

Well yeah, when you blow all your money of beer, cigarettes, and hooters poon, you're more worried about the next check.

The fact that you think 50 something John Daly is some barometer of equipment is laughable.

If that's the case, explain why Patrick Reed started playing well as soon as he ditched the PXG driver that made him shoot down the driving stats at the beggining of the year.

The John Daly/Bopper comparison is interesting as I've drank with both of them.

Bopper is more likely to pick up the tab. Daly will have lots of methy/trailer park chicks around (not judging we all gotta get our freak on).
Bopper is more into the classy kind of gal and uses his rugged good looks and fat stack to impress the ladies.
