Yea 23/56 isn't a lot, but the fairways at winger foot were skinny. The fairways at Augusta are much bigger. If he hit the same drives at Augusta as he did at The Open, he wouldn't have missed that many fairways and they would have been long long.

I'm not sure what his deal was this week, whether he was sick, played really bad, etc.

But he sprayed it way worse this week

He will slide in at even. Already making excuses. Said he was feeling “dizzy” and “off” the last two days.

Made me dizzy when he said that.

Hitting his driver decent? The dude has been blowing it alll over the golf course.

That isn't really that different from how he normally plays it... how he played it at Winged Foot. My comment that he is hitting his driver decent just means he is doing what he normally does with it. His putting and iron play were what really cost him on Thurs/Fri from what I saw. I watched a pretty decent amount of Featured Group coverage.

And yes Augusta is a 2nd shot course which is why his iron game probably cost him more than his driver did IMHO.

He was all over the place and frequently way off line.

During the broadcast one if the commentators mentioned how important it was for a tee shot to land in the best location to allow for a good second shot. Just getting in it in the fairway isn’t important as it is in the US Open. Getting it at the right angle to the green is the key.
