Looking to play Dec 31st in the morning. Barring the weather, what courses seem to be in the best shape right now?

I’d say Baton Rouge Country Club or CCL. Uclub isn’t bad either but the fairways are meh

I would to play those courses, but sadly don't have the connections. I was thinking Beaver Creek, Santa Maria, Greystone, or even Carter Plantation

Beaver Creek is the best bang for the buck

I'm hoping everything stays decent and we can get some dry weather soon. I don't want a repeat of last winter.

It's showing sunshine Monday and Tuesday of next week. The plan is to play somewhere the 31st

I've been playing a lot lately and Beaver Creek has definitely been the best value for the money lately.

Played Carter today and it was in good shape as always but still wet. Cart path only on three holes. With the rain forecasted for this weekend, I'd book Beaver Creek. They've been running Hot Deals on GolfNow for $14-20 bucks from 10:54-12:15

How much more traffic and people would Carter get if it were right off I-12? Could you imagine how many more people would play right off interstate instead of having to make that 10-15 minute drive from the interstate.

It's not that bad of a drive, but yeah it would attract more golfers for sure.

But the same could be said if they would lower their $70 weekend rates.

They’re still getting $70 on the weekends? That’s insane. Well, that means people are ok with paying it, I guess.

I played it last Saturday since it was the closest course not getting rain. It was in ok shape. It was the first time I had ever played out there, but from my understanding, nowhere near what it used to be. Greens were in decent shape and rolled well.

We booked it as a $34 Hot Deal on GolfNow

FYI, pass on Copper Mill. The guy who cuts the greens must have been given the week between Christmas and New Year’s off.

The fascination with this place on here is unreal

Played the bluffs this morning. Other than it being wet, in decent shape. Greens were rolling great

It's the dead of winter and isn't BRCC or CCL. Decent shape with good greens is all I'm asking for. Hell, I was worried they didn't have 18 greens and I was still putting on fairway grass on 2.

#2 green at the Bluffs is definitely different than the other 17. The guy in the pro shop gave us the heads up since they lost it and shortened the hole to a par four.

He told us to play a club short because the ball will jump forward. I've never had a nice high shot with a 60 degree wedge jump forward four feet

Course was in amazing shape compared to what it was at one time. Obviously not where it was in its prime, though.

Tee boxes were playable. Nothing great or anything. Fairways were thin and not exactly plush. But we were playing lift clean and place, so it didn't matter. Greens rolled fairly well and had grass.
