Cobra LTDX LS Driver Review and thoughts on comparing it to the Rogue LS driver

If your interested,
I played yesterday with the new Cobra LTDX LS driver that was 10.5 loft.
Initial thoughts -
Distance - Above average, dead center hits really fly and roll forever. It stay with my Rogue LS 10.5 with a GD DI6 shaft all day.
Forgiveness - About what I expected from a LS model, for me nothing has been more forgiving that the Ping 425, but the LTDX LS is very playable for an average golfer unless you hit a really low ball.
Sound - This is where this driver really shined for me, Cobra's in the past sounded very loud and tinny to me, this driver is very muted and you know when you flush one. This may be the best sounding driver available.
I had to play this driver yesterday with the stock HZRDUS Blue shaft since I didn't get a chance to get a new adapter, still this driver was every playable for me.
Opinion - I really like this driver over the Cally Rogue LS driver. The Cobra sit very square to open and it fits me eye. I would say that they are both equal in distance for me, I did think the Cobra was a tad more forgiving .
The Cobra is somewhat cheaper than the Rogue with is a plus with these drivers being so equal. I will say that I never hooked the Cobra which was big for me.
I have a PXG 0811X driver arriving Tuesday, I will compare it to this new Cobra and which one may make the bag.

Ha, I don't keep them, I'm a horse trader...

I've got one on the way, as well as a Ventus Blue TR 6S shaft to put in it. I'll see how it performs vs the Hzrdus Blue.
The LTDx is also a very good driver. Nice blend of distance and forgiveness.

My club champion fitter put me in Cobra LTDx with a Adila ascent 50 shaft.
Waiting for shipment.
Supposedly, I hit it 25 yards further than my M2.

Hope it works for you guys.
I have to admit, I was skeptical about a Cobra driver, but I am impressed so far.
Love the looks and the sound.

I was at demo day yesterday and cobra outsold everyone and it outperformed titliest stealth and rogue. Never thought I would be playing cobra but the LS was on average 8-10 yards longer and 3 mph faster. It’s definitely in the bag with the tensie white!

Maybe I need to book a driver fitting

I have heard the same results at different stores here in Houston area.
As often as I switch clubs around, I have no loyalty to any brand and I don't sugar coat my reviews.
A driver has to provide distance but also accuracy.
The Rogues Max and LS didn't work for me in both areas.
I like the TSi2 driver overall performance but it always looks like it is sitting flat to my eye and it bugged me.
The Cobra LS performed great for me during the round. It eliminated the left side for me that was welcomed.
This week I will have the PXG 0811X driver to test against the Cobra.
One of them will make the bag.

I think Cobra has been overlooked a bit in the past because they were priced $100 or so lower than their competitors. For whatever reason I think it slightly hurt perception. The woods have been nice going back about 8-10 years

I agree. The quality is apparent now.

Played with it today and was blown away at how good the toe misses were. I know a toe miss is a dead spinner which is good most of the time as long as it’s not a snap hook but the ball was still in the rough and no loss of distance. All i can say is go test it and see if it fits you
it’s worth the time !

I have a feeling that this Cobra LS will stick around and become my go to windy day driver for sure.
You can hit low bullets with it if needed.

I did say you "can", doesn't mean you can't hit it high.
Unless you can't...

Back to my LTDx. The LS version is just too low spin for me, and I had some balls dropping out of the sky. The X version seems to suit me pretty perfectly with a great blend of carry plus run.
