Just looking to get into golf and am trying to get my own set. I have borrowed friend's sets when I have played (maybe once every two years), but am wanting to try to take up the game a little more seriously.

Any input on where to look or if anyone has a decent set collecting dust they would like to make a few bucks on?

Get some Cobra FMax air speeds, they got rave reviews for a beginner set when launched

If you are just looking for super simple and high quality clubs, checkout Stix. They have gotten rave reviews and they a very budget friendly for a complete bag. You can order them online or at a sporting goods store. I know Scheels carries them where I am.

If you want a brand new beginner set, I first bought a Strata set. It’s made by Callaway. Complete set and bag around $400.

Strata

Or you may be able to find a better used set for around that price on a Facebook marketplace or group.

Where are you located? I have an older set I can send you a picture of

Just beginning you need nothing pretty or fancy. Used is the way to go.
I’d suggest pawns or goodwill online
