Supposedly she was responsible for setting up the trust, but as usual, she screwed up and never finished setting up the trust. Without the trust, there was nothing for her to run. She was supposed to be in charge of the trust. I'm fairly sure that was supposed to be how the First Club for Kids played into the equation. FCK would've been the trust. Fitting how well the First Club for Kids acronym described her tenure. At least that's the rumor.

That is 100% the sentiment I am hearing around the club. I never met her, but man when I joined people did not speak highly of her. There is significant chatter of a deluge of people coming back to LT. We will see.

Oakbourne is tough for a tee time for sure and honestly might have too many members at present

I think Mike's foundation owns it.

That is a major complaint among people I know. Conversely , I can walk onto LT at 3pm and not wait at all. Very enjoyable, but I know that will change eventually. I cannot imagine being a member of a golf club and not being able to get a Tee time till 4 or 5 pm and no guarantees on weekends.

I've been a member for 27 years and a resident for 22 years. I guess they can find out who I am now, but this is the best news I have had/heard in the last 27 years concerning Le Triomphe.

Right around $7000, no clue if Troon management will change that.

Troon Managing the club was in the works before Mike's death. The club is not in a trust it's an asset in Mike's foundation. Look for Troon to go the daily fee route to get the club in a positive cash flow stream muy pronto! It takes a lot of daily fee rounds to make that place flow to the positive side. Members are going to have to endure some minor changes to make sure the club survives and putting up with people paying about $80 round during week and 110 Fri-Sun. is one of them. Eventually they need to build a membership to 350 members and eliminated daily fee subsidy. Dawna was head of the foundation!!!

Needs to be higher. No point in paying $400 a month to be a member if you can play 3 times a month for $300

Also i think they will double their membership numbers within 2 years if they do a membership drive with no or reduced initiation fee

A lot of former members left for oakbourne, they will happily come back now that she is gone. Practice facilities much better at LT.

A private club becoming semi-private with daily play including the weekends at essentially a $100 price point is going to drive members away, not raise the membership base.
