I watched some videos about “no shoulder turn” golf swing, but they really mean turn in plane with torso/thorax rather than spin shoulders.

Best explanation link: LINK

Anyway, I went to the course and I’m at least a full club longer than I was Sunday.

I also started some new stretching of my pelvis, hips, and thorax to increase my flexibility.

I think both the swing thought and the stretching really help me create a better swing.

very funny you posted that.

i took a few lessons last year, and while i got better overall in my ball striking, there were times where it just looked like i have never played golf before.

i started to notice that my arms\club\shoulders would rotate behind my body, getting my right shoulder down to the ball, but i was focusing so much on that, i wasn't rotating anything else.

the last time i played i completely focused on turning hips\knee\torso etc, with the club, and hit the crap out of the ball.

his explanation pretty much summed up what i was fighting on occasion.

Very good swing thought. Worked with it a bit at the range today. Mainly trying to initiate the swing by pulling away in a controlled motion with my right lat and feeling the flexion in the left lat.

I usually try focus on rotating anyway but I tend to get a little loose with the wrists/hands at times and get the arms too involved. Also tend get steep.

Focusing on just turning my entire trunk helped me shallow the club better on the way down and even get a little draw action.

Had to flex my knees a bit more after a couple tops but once I was able to pair everything up I was hitting it a good club longer with the lower irons. Fun!
