Like another poster said, he’s talked me out of purchases on more than one occasion and not once has he ever pushed a particular brand. I’ve done two driver fittings, he did some loft lie weight tweaks on a set of irons I brought him and I did a putter fitting where he gave me my results and I was able to purchase from a pro shop where I had credit.

I've used him twice. Putter fitting and wedge fitting. I've got no issues with him and will go back if I need anything else.

He’s a club fitter. I’ve never been to him so I’m not saying this as a negative to him personally at all.

He probably just uses data from monitors and fits you into what they say, just like every other club fitter there is. I bet you can go literally anywhere and get almost the exact same recommendations, maybe a worse experience

Having a ton of shafts/heads and knowing what the data means is kind of a big deal.

I wasn’t hating on the guy I’m just saying that this stuff to me seems like the basic requirements of being a fitter. I’ve got no doubt he’s good at his job and knows how to read the data. I’m just saying that most club fitters have a ton of shafts/heads and know what the data means. Unless you are an elite golfer I question how much of a difference a “good” club fitter really makes vs an “average” fitter who reads the same data and has the same equipment

They have 30 Bebu types in Dallas, and can even go to where OEMs manufacture clubs & shafts for professional fittings at no charge. NOLA can’t attract that level of business.

I guess that’s why the idea of a fitter with “a lot of equipment” is pretty underwhelming to me

I appreciate all the answers to my initial question.

I took the chance and drove down to Gretna and I can truly say, I highly recommend Buddah.

I initially went in planning to spend $300 (for a club fitting), but left with a valuable $60 lesson that significantly improved my horrible game. After working with him, I noticed I could hit my 9 iron an impressive 20 yards longer and down the middle! Buddah's approach is both knowledgeable and honest, making it easy to learn and apply his techniques.

He's the best. The second you walk into his studio you can tell the guy is an equipment lunatic.
