Going to Natchez next week. Where should I play on the way back to Baton Rouge?

I'm open for anything. Any gems or quirky courses near my route? Anything worth stopping to play?

Play beau pre in Natchez. Played up there few weeks ago. Was firm and fast, good shape, greens were nice (with a few exceptions). Was a fun track. Also, nice value for $50 on a Saturday. Will add this to my once-every few month- rotation.

Beau Pre, Fennwood, The Bluffs...... I’d opt for the first two as both are in great shape

I guess I could have been much clearer. I've played all the BR courses. Was looking for something closer to Natchez or along the way.

The 9 holer intrigues me. Got a name? I'll also look into the other two.

The only course I know of is Duncan Park that you can see from Highway. It is 18 holes. It isn't visible from 61 though but visible right when you turn off it.

Played 2 rounds at Beau Pre this past weekend and it was in good shape. Even with the heavy rains we were off the cart paths - greens were smooth and fast. Fairways, tees and a real rough. Great design - hit every club in the bag. Just call the golf shop to get a tee time. Located on 61 a few miles south of Natchez.

Can anyone compare Beau Pre to say Santa Maria or Carter?

I see they’re all roughy the same price. Is it worth it to drive to Natchez to play at a Country Club course?

You won’t be disappointed with Beau Pre. But, I wouldn’t drive past Carter or Santa Maria to get there. If you want something different and to make a trip like I said you won’t be disappointed with it and it is worth the money.
