Has anyone played Atchafalaya golf course down in Patterson recently? What is it like? Worth the trip hour and half trip?

No. According to my brother who played yesterday stay home. He said the greens were shite with dirt patches. He also said one of the tee boxes had zero grass on it. He only plays public courses so it isn't like he is some snob about conditions.

Pretty ironic that I got blew up in the last thread about this for saying the conditions are garbage there. Proof is in the pudding. It may be getting “better” but it’s in pretty tough shape still.

Played there 3 times last week.

I travel to morgan city for work about a week a month and it’s 6 minutes from the hotel.

Holes 2 and 5 are disasters but the rest of the course is in fine shape. I think it’s well worth the $40.

I had some friends play yesterday, said it was terrible. They said they went a month ago and it was great.

Played it on Sunday. Fairways are in good shape but tee boxes & greens were pretty terrible. About a third of the tee boxes were just sand. It seemed like all the greens had brown patches and several had cracked dirt. Not worth the drive & $60 cost.

This course is a shite box for most of the year. There is a very small window every year, in early spring when the course is in great shape. The rest....shite. And it's hot as frick out there.

The only thing worth going out there for is the food at the clubhouse.
