Anyone train with Golf Tec
Getting back in the game after 7 year break. Anyone ever train with Golf Tec?

If so, thoughts? Worth it? Handicap drop?

Yes, great guys over there. I would suggest going in and talking to them and seeing how you like it before committing over the phone.

I think it was worth it, especially if you take advantage of all of the days you can practice around your lessons.

They want to coach you for life, not just give you a lesson. Their equipment is great and being able to practice for free(when they have space) is good. They really slow play you so your sessions are exhausted. I wanted a much faster pace . Index went down by two points but greens in regulation didn't improve. I improved my short game by myself.

Buddy of mine (really high handicapper) went to them for lessons and I would say they did him some good. He still sucks but he is better than he was, It seems they were teaching him stuff that was no good for him. He quit going and has lessons still on the table.

I sucked when I went in and sucked a lot less when I came out. I did 10 lessons with them. Life changing.

For me it was, but everyone will be different. I don't agree that they are milking the sessions. They will give you something to work on after every lesson if not multiple things. I've had lessons with Ryan and Rob and both were great. I had major inconsistency with my driver, which is much improved and my iron play is night and day better.

Nobody is going to fix your swing after one lesson for the same reason magic diet pills won't make you lose weight in a week. It takes time and work. I would highly recommend taking advantage of all the time you get to use the bays for general practice.

I had sort of a bad experience, but I think a lot of it is who you get.

I signed up for a package of lessons and got about 3/4 of the way through and just stopped going. My teacher wasn’t a very good teacher. He would just always say, “you’ve got to just feel it.” Mostly he would want to sit there and BS for 30 minutes then the lesson was over.

They want to rebuild your swing from scratch. I actually got worse. Again, I’ve heard good things, but I just had a bad experience, but I think it all depends on who you get.

Don’t they teach a one swing fits all mentality? I’ve heard from a lot of better players who said they got worse going there, but the people I have seen rave about it were not that great before so I’m sure learning certain techniques was helpful for them
