Anyone Own a Cleveland CBX Zipcore Wedge?

Surely there's one Golf Board regular that doesn't have a bag full of Vokeys and is a hacker like me? If so what are your thoughts/experience?

I was recently looking at both the CBX and RTX but ultimately went with the RTX. The CBX is cavity back and looks strange in person. I've played three rounds with the RTX and have loved it so far - I use it for every shot 115 yards in and chipping around the greens.

ETA: Oh and I also consider myself a hacker I'm a 16 handicap.

Thanks, I should have posted in OP that I use cavity back irons so the appearance wouldn't necessarily throw me off

I do too. I use Cobra Bio Cells that are 7 years old. The cavity back on high lofted wedges isn’t really needed. Just my two cents.

I use the CBX Zipcore. Very forgiving and love them for close chips. Not as easy to hit on longer shots though.

I had 3 of them for about 6 months - 52, 56, & 60.

I really, really liked them for chips and pitches around the green. They have really nice feel and you can put a lot of spin on the ball around the greens - very versatile.

My biggest gripe (and ultimately the reason I switched back to Vokeys - SM9s) was they were severely lacking on full shots. They just did not have a good feel when making contact with the ball and they were about 15-20 yards shorter than my previous Vokeys were so my approach game really suffered.

With all that being said, I don't recommend them if you find yourself with a lot of 70-110 yard shots every round.

Had the same issues. I still keep a 58 CBX in the bag and use a separate gap wedge for those 70-110 yard shots

I hit them and really liked them but I ended up with the Mizuno T22 wedges as their grind options fit better with my swing.

This is me. Definitely full shot clubs for me. Currently using Mack Daddy CB’s.
