On sale starting today and I'm having a real hard time talking myself out of one.
Would set up with a net and TV in the garage.

I had a friend who had a GCQuad and that thing was amazing, but I was afraid to ask him what he paid for it. They are really cool, but I don't know if I could ever justify paying what they cost.
I find it cheaper just to pay for a lesson here and there to check my numbers.

You can get a good launch monitor for around 4k. That may sound like a lot, but if that stops you from getting many lessons at 75/hr or paying to hit range balls it can even out pretty quickly if you use it a lot.

maybe, but I still like the feel of hitting on the range, plus free balls with a membership. Like I said I loved using it but I couldn't justify it for myself. To each their own.

I'd have the entire set up for about 2k.

well if that's the case then it doesn't sound too bad.

Been seriously considering getting one. Where is the sale?
I feel like it’d be useful to work on clubbing, distances, and approach shots from 100 and in.
Also useful to work on your game when it’s dark out, raining, cold...don’t wanna put clothes on etc.

Floghtscope Meevo or a swing caddie for general range use measuring distances

The numbers I find most helpful are angle of attack, and face angle at impact. and then spin/launch numbers when trying out new gear?
I might be wrong but these two don't give those numbers do they?

Meevo will give spin, launch angle, swing speed, ball speed and smash. All for $500 and is the same size as an Iphone 4. To get the numbers you want you would have to buy a GC Quad or Trackman for almost 15k-25k. I dont think skytrak will give all those numbers. Especially angle of attack and face to path.

Flight scope has those and I think it's like 8k. Still expensive, but a lot less than a trackman.

yea, I think that that's why I've never looked into that much and just relied on the monitors during lessons. My club has a GC2/quad set up. I tend to slip into something that gets it's too flat or sometimes slightly neg with a driver.
but they all seem helpful if you have extra money you really want to spend on your game.
I also dont have a basement to set up in.

I want a Mevo, mainly for range work and wedges. Measuring distances of scoring clubs. I am not worried about path and AOA. I pretty much now by how the ball flies on those things. I just dont want to buy the first gen Mevo. I am hoping for prices to fall or a newer version to drop.

Skytrak is the closest you will get to the Flightscope, Trackman, GC2, etc without breaking the bank. It’s very accurate and they are working on getting club data added. The $500 mevo is pretty much a swing speed device. Spend the 2k and get the skytrak, you won’t regret it.

Just what I need...another stream of data to infiltrate my head and screw me up even further. As if I could just dial up a different, and correct, swing path and AOA on demand! I'm looking at the swing caddie. Give me #'s off the clubs and I'll go from there. Skytrak would be badass for playing courses on the simulator though.

does GC quad require the reflective stickers on the clubface like the GC2?
I am a fan of the GC2 - but have not seen / used a quad yet.

I don’t really care about the numbers other than carry distance.
It’s a good option when you have a wife and kids and no time to practice. Similar to hitting into a net but you can actually see what the ball did. Allows for practice at night when the dad/husband duties are over. For the money, you can’t beat it.

This is my thinking.
Real time practice without leaving the house. I know in a perfect world I can go to the range but I've got a 3 year old and a 1 year old and I like not paying child support so keeping momma sane is important
