Bad idea to switch sides without getting a lesson. I hit a slice for years before figuring out the swing sequence. There isn’t one thing in your swing that is wrong but likely 3or 4 things. For me, when transitioning from back swing to forward, I was starting my lower body too early. My backswing club path was also out of whack.

I didn’t take lessons but watched some videos and was able to incorporate what I learned and apply it to fix my swing.

A lesson might be cheaper than buying new clubs to find out you need lessons no matter which side you swing from.

Planning on it. Just haven't had the time.

If you don’t even have time for lessons I am not sure you will have time to switch from right handed swings to left handed swings. Maybe I am overestimating how long that transition will take, but it seems like it might take a bit longer than the 30 minutes to one hour a lesson takes.

You know the guy that just won the PGA stands on that side. And the guy leading 1/2 way through the Sr. PGA stands on the same side. Just sayin’
