Entered the lottery a few months ago and just found out I snagged practice rounds tickets. Any tips for Scotland? Possibly stopping in London for a few days, too

Stayed and played at the Old Course back in 2017. Such a cool place, visit the local pubs. Food is meh at best but will be a great trip! One thing I did was buy all of my Old Course memorabilia and they ship it back to your house relatively cheap, it was waiting for me when I got home!

Bring rain gear.

Played in 2019. Goosebumps just walking up to the course from the road. Tiny town with about 3-4 streets. That's it.

Depending on your budget, bring your clubs (or rent - I did), and play surrounding courses. St. Andrews rents out the latest Callaway. Kingsbarn has the latest Titleist.

Kingsbarn is close and is amazing. Not sure if the other St. Andrew's courses will be open, but the New course and the Jubilee are definitely worth it. Crail is a "hidden gem," right down the road.

London is amazing. The Tube is a marvel. People were uber-friendly. We had a hard time with cell service, but we had older phones. It's an amazing city. SPLURGE and take the train first-class from London to Edinburgh (or vice-versa). Worth it.
