Well, I won a couple of Monday tickets and I am taking my dad. I just bought our plane tickets and we will be arriving in Atlanta around 9:00 Sunday morning. That gives us a lot of extra time to kill on Sunday. Having never been to Augusta or Atlanta really other than the airport is there something we should do to kill time? I don't want to just go sit on the hotel room. Thanks.

Down town area is worth spending an afternoon in. Other than that get some sleep and get there early. Make sure you have a chair, drop it at amen corner and walk the course

It's pretty terrible really. I'd just post up at T-Bonez, Rheiharts or one of those off Washington St.

eta- assuming you meant downtown Augusta and not Atl.

For Augusta they're about as good as it gets. Will be lots of people at both. We've had some good times getting to T Bonz early and getting at table in the bar area. Dress nice, wear an expensive watch or something and you'll have some tour bunnies come mess with you. Reihnarts is an oyster bar and fun to hang out at. Get a table outside..

and you are almost 100% guaranteed to see Daly get carried to his motor home... which will be in the hooters parking lot for the entire week

T-Bonz has a band that plays every night in the parking lot. Great food as well.... Always packed, get there early. Get to bed early! Get at the gates of Augusta before the gates open. Buy your souvenirs when you get in the gates. Big gift shop when you get in and there is one behind 6 and 16. Check your bags or ship em home. Then walk the back 9, its the most beautiful place on earth! Head to No. 1, walk the front then watch golf and have some cocktails! Best day ever!

He was there in 2018. He passed out on the little stage area they have, two big guys helped him to his motor home and he did it all over again the next day.

The one tucked behind 16 is the way to do it imo. Same merch as the one by the main gate and 1/4 the crowd. I would head straight there, shop, check your bags, hit the concession stand by it, get 2 beers, 3 sandwiches, then walk the course.

I'll be there Tuesday. I know booksacks aren't allowed, but what about fanny packs?

Yeah, I'm serious. Dont feel like carrying everything all day.

I second these two as well. Downtown is kinda meh, at least the strip clubs bring in outside talent for the week.

What the hell do you plan on carrying? All you need is a wallet.

I ended up buying one of the Masters Drawstring Backpacks in the gift shop when we first got there to carry all my shite around. Came in handy when we started collecting the dated drink cups to bring home.
