110MPH swing speed but R flex woods go straightest

I know I need to go get fitted, and plan to do so, but wondering if anyone can comment on whether certain swings are more successful with R flex shafts, regardless of swing speed.
I had my swing speed measured years ago at 115mph. Looking at the charts showing distances on clubs and likely swing speed, I'm probably between 110-112MPH these days. My driver is a garbage Nike driver with a stiff shaft and I have no control over it whatsoever. I have a Ping 3 wood with X-Stiff shaft and, while I can knock the shite out of the ball with that club (250-260 off the deck), I get a lot of mishits with it. I have some Taylor Made rescue woods (3&5) with regular flex and they're far and away my most consistently straight woods. Distances on them are a bit shorter than the stiffer shafted woods, but not drastically.
Does this make sense to anyone? Is it more likely the regular flex clubs are just more forgiving clubs or could my swing be so unique (aka, fricked up) that the softer flex actually works to my advantage? I feel my swing is pretty good, maybe a little steep.

Could be either. Swing path could be leading to more consistency on the shorter clubs or the stiff shafts may not be right for you. Impossible to say without seeing it.

Swing path, angle of attack , etc..
You may swing easier with the R flex's knowing that ?
Most of us tighten our grip and arms when hitting the driver, which causes all kinds of issues.
You already know that getting fitted will be the answer.
Best tip that I ever got was when I was doing longdrive was "the easier you swing the further the ball goes".
FWIW, I am always more interested in the Smash Factor than the swing speed. Lots of guys can swing fast, but the guys that can "hammer the nail" will really pump it out there.

R flex is likely a lighter shaft so your SS will be higher which = distance. Also, the shaft is more flexible giving more of a whip effect which = distance. Theoretically, your dispersion should not be as consistent, but you might also just be comfortable with it and can deliver a consistent strike.
I just watched a video where a very consistent driver hit 6 shots with each flex in the same driver head. Distances were all within 5 to 10 yards from women’s flex to 75g X-stiff. Dispersion had the most variation. He was also gaining around 4 mph club head speed with the lighter senior and women’s flex vs stiff and x-stiff.
Edit: You’re also comparing 3 and 5 rescues to a driver. Rescues have shorter shaft and are just overall a more forgiving club to hit. I’d wager a reg flex driver shaft would still give you issues.

Anecdotal story here.
Everything I have is stiff. Bought a used ping g30 3H with a stiff shaft and it quickly became my favorite club. So I went back looking for the 4H. Only had it in Rflex but bought it anyway. I haven’t noticed a lick of difference and actually forgot it was R until just now when this thread made me go look lol

i've hit very straight with a regular flex at high swing speeds.
the problem is the shaft isn't meant for the tourque, so your spin will be fricked. should lose a good bit of distance because of it.
but it also depends on your swing plane and how drastic you transition into a down swing.
a lot of variables.

Appreciate it, y'all. Sounds like it's not unheard of for me to hit them straighter but really need to get to a fitter to see what actually fits my swing the best.

Rick Shields does a test. It was eye opening for me.
I use SR in my hybrid and get a perfect draw and pretty solid distance (for me). I find that the SR shaft makes me put a good swing on it. Play stiff's in everything else but wedges. play heavier regs in those.
